It is my pleasure to invite you to South Africa for the  third biennial Emergency Medicine in the Developing World  conference to be held at the Cape Town International Convention Centre from 15 to 17 November 2011

This time the main theme of the conference will concern Education and Training in Emergency Medicine in the Developing World.   As before this topic will be supported by talks in other mainstream topics as well.  In addition, we’ll present a number of high quality pre-conference courses.  2009  delegates saw  many top quality speakers take the stand, including Joe Lex, Sam Stratton, Amal Mattu, Rob Rogers, Pinchas Halperin,  Jacques Goosen,  Charl van Loggerenberg and Iain Maconochie.  EMSSA  also supported 13 delegates from deprived backgrounds through our Adopt-a-Delegate sponsorship scheme.

I look forward to  welcoming you to our warm African summer sun conference in Cape Town.

Lee Wallis (conference chair)
